Are you trying to get a game or application like Steam to work? If so log into your router- type 192.168.1.1 into the address space.
Then click firewall settings, (mine is set to typical but the default was off) port forwarding- add- 1. click the drop down menu and if you are lucky what you need will be in the drop down list, click what you need, Apply- close - apply - close the verizon window.
If at anytime you are prompted to login, (and U S/B) the default is admin/password, I would suggest changing this BTW.
Next test the game or app.
