Defrag has been aborted due to inconsistancies in the file system

U can run scandisk
Right click C:\ >properties> and see under tools, scan disk for errors.

And also run chkdsk.
start menu>run>cmd
type
chkdsk /f and after also do a chkdsk/r
If it can't, then it will ask U next time U restart.
Press y and quit. Restart.

Then try defragmenting again.

Why not just do a chkdsk x: /f /r instead of running chkdsk twice?

@OP: substitute x: with your drive letter.
