Hello, I recently added this soundcard to my gaming PC, which is hooked up to my 50' plasma and my Yamaha receiver (YHT-391) via coaxial cable and when I play movie I get the full 5.1 surround sound, but when I play games I only get 2.1 and I even changed the settings on the game to 5.1, but I still ony get 2.1. Any help would be appreciated.

Specs:
Intel Core2 Quad Q6600 (2.40GHz, 1066FSB, 8MB L2)
4GB DDR2 SDRAM 800MHz, Dual Channel DT
9800 GSO
SIIG SoundWave 7.1 PCI
Windows 7 x64

What you describe is normal behavior. To get surround sound from games out the SPDIF, your sound card has to be able to encode with Dolby Digital Live or DTS Direct. Your card does not. You're getting stereo, by the way, not 2.1.
