I'm wondering if this is happening to anybody else. I have 4 machines running XP and all are diaplaying Adobe updater error messages several times daily. This has been going on for weeks. Any remedies?

Thanks for the response. None of the provided links seems appropriate because my problem is with "Flash Player" updater rather than reader. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing and the problem just re-occurs. Flash player is used so much on the net that I'm afraid to dump it or stop updates entirely. I've submitted a bug report to Adobe without a response.
