i wanted to upgrade my processor from a athlon 64x2 4400 but no better processor around in dual core is there a quad that will work in my m2ne motherbrd,am2 socket

I wasn't to worried about price I purchased Athlon IIx4 945 before installing i changed the bios to 3001 first time said failure to boot, then shut down removed cmos battery and rebooted and recognised and is working fine thanks for the input, the lanpxe etc is corrected in the bios version do not need to do anything.

cost was 159.00 canadian did alot of checking and double checking before i flashed bios and purchased this processor, use is primarily online gaming as well as office programs,training material and web useage, i have a small site used for my fellow employees for training material downloading and uploading for technical support
