Sub $600 system

Hi - I'm looking for recommendations/opinions on a $600 setup. I decided to go for the nvidia 9800gt card because I am interested in CUDA, but I don't require an sli setup. The machine won't really be used for gaming. Prices are from newegg, I'm looking to buy within the next 2 weeks, and i have a monitor which has native resolution of 1680 x 1050

Total : $583

One thing that i am unsure of is if the graphics card will fit into the case. Also, since ddr3 ram has dropped to the level of ddr2, am i correct in my mb/ram selection?

Thanks for the help.

More about system
  1. Everything looks good to me, I have a 9800 GT that runs at 1680 x 1050 and it fits in my atx case with room to spare. Definitely go with DDR3.

Maybe get a better power supply?
