Ati drivers

maybe you guys can answer this.
When ATI or nividia release new drivers they are designed to fix bugs, improve game performance and other things..
when a new driver is released, is it normally all the updates from previous versions all in one version with additions?

like I know ati released drivers over the fall/summer that were supposed to improve crysis fps on certain radeon chipsets. I downloaded those and it worked for me.
I do like to keep up to date with drivers so im wondering if I update again will the new drivers still have the same performance enhancement for crysis in addition to any new additions?

do I make any sense?

You make sense.
Sometimes, though the fixes can impact on performance.
It is best to update regularly but ALWAYS set a Restore Point first so you can roll back to the previous driver if things do not work out as expected.
