i suggest you use a corsair 750w at the minumum.

if you want some extra for future upgrades, maybe triple geforce 480s,

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6817371012

the antec would probably suit your needs better in the long run, and also more bang for the buck LOL.

also, i would recommemd two hard drives, because if this is an extremely high p[erformance system you may want striped raid or maybe mirrored wd raptors for data security / peice of mind

from the asus features it reads

Storage Devices
SATA 3Gb/s 6
SATA RAID 0/1/5/10 Matrix RAID

where is sata 6gb/s???

-1 for you

ear Panel Ports
PS/2 1
USB 1.1/2.0 6 x USB 2.0
eSATA 2 x eSATA 3Gb/s
S/PDIF Out 1 x Optical, 1 x Coaxial
Audio Ports 6 Ports
Onboard USB
Onboard USB 3 x USB connectors support additional 6 USB ports

i do not see USB 3.0 anywhere do you ?

-1

but i like the way your thinking

hey op get the gigabyte ud7 or asus p6x58d premium

thanks for your reply

i think i am reading this word BOTTLE NECKING all too often on this forum

i think if anyone has an idea how a workstation connects to various stock exchanges only then can you answer the user end questions regarding this mother board,

and that requires actual experience or exposure to high frequency trading

therefore i still cannot understand what actually bottle necking implies here,

:)

Huh? A slow hdd will slow down the system and make it pointless to havs all the othee stuff really good. Thats why you should get wd raptor(s) as hard drives

Reply to shovenose

Im sorry. Plz. Disregard my previous posts about the power supply- i misread the 900 as a 600 in the original post.

Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB (32MB Cache) outperforms Raptors and is much much cheaper.
