Need help with simple volume size

sorry about posting again, but i ams unsure what to put.I currently have 300gb hard drive and when this box comes up i get confused. It part of the formatting of the harddrive and the part in particulaur i get confused with is simple volume size. How do i figure out the numbers to put in this box and if possible, what would they be. thanks again

Please do not format the hard drive that holds the operating system.

If you are trying to format another hard drive, you can enter the number 300000 to start, then use the up/down keys select the entire hard drive. Doing so will format the entire hard drive into a single volume.
