I5 2500k, does it have to be over clocked.

Hi, I've been looking to build a computer and have been looking at the i5 2500k CPU. I understand that the "K" in 2500k means over clock. But what I am confused by, is that does a 2500k HAVE to be over clocked or can you just use it without overclocking.

i5 had 2 version 2500K (overclock / multiplier unlocked) and i5 2500 non K (multi locked) ... both can used by overclock ... if your planning no Oc just get i5 2500 (non K)
