Can anyone tell me what hardware this is/this is for?

I have come into posession of what appears to be a Wifi Aerial. It has two cables running from the black plastic coated aerial which is about five inches high. Both these cables have the same connector on the end of them which is the type of connector found on Wifi Router aerials.

Thing is, I have no idea wether this is for a router or some sort of receiver [NIC], and more specifically what brand/model it is for.

Can any of you identify this and tell me what type of hardware it is for and the manufacturer/model number of that hardware?

Looks like an aftermarket wifi antenna to me. You can use it for either wireless routers or wireless client adapters, as long as they use the same connector type.
