I have a GeForce7050M-M (V2.0) being used in my system, and it says it's only Vista ready. Even though it only says it's compatible with Vista, can my mb make the upgrade from XP to Windows 7 without any compatibility problems?

What especially concerns me about this situation is that there are no driver or BIOS updates that say anything about Windows 7. Idk...

Thanks for any help. : D

Don't know why so many folks look for a bios update for windows 7. You only need the drivers, and many vista drivers work with windows 7. Give it a shot; you can always change motherboards if it doesn't work. Refurb boards cost only about $40.

Microsoft has an instruction page for installing windows 7 over xp. It's not easy; you have to go through several steps. Sorry I can't post a link. Google it.

Thanks, for the help. Windows 7 has great compatibility with older hardware. Boots nicely, and my older wireless and SATA pci cards automatically installed.

The install wasn't too bad. Only problem was that I made three setup disks before I was able to get a readable copy. Heard win7 is picky about burning the iso to the dvd...
