Gts 250 question

Hi, I have a zotac gts 250 AMP 1gb video card, this video card requires a 8 pin pci-express power cable, my psu only have one 6-pin pci-express power cable.

The video card have a pci-express adapter , http://tech2.in.com/media/images/2009/Apr/img_135012_zotac_001.jpg

The video card need 24 amps or more, the 12V rails of my psu have 35 amp.

I want to konw if I can connect only one 6 pin pci-express power cable to the adapter or I need to have the 2 6pin pci express power cable to make the adapter works.

It looks to me that you have to make both connections so all the pins in the 8pin get power. You can use two molex to a six pin adapter for the other connection.
