I currently own a inspiron 531s that I just did a case swap with. AMD X2 4000+ 2gb ddr667, radeon 4650 bla bla bla

I want to upgrade, I feel like I would be wasting my money if I purchase high end stuff right now because in 6 months the prices will have dropped a lot. So I guess i'm just going to get a budget quad core build. Something with some DDR3 memory. I have seen combo deals with quad cores for around 200$ I was wondering if someone could lead me to a good deal with as good quality for low price as possible if those newb words make sense.

Thanks

Would help if you followed the format provided in the sticky, as it would help us suggest parts for you. For example, what's your budget exactly? Are you gonna reuse the 4650?

Here are some recommendations to get you started :

This is a pretty good combo with a 790x board and a x4 620

This is a good set of sticks with tight timings and a low voltage:

HDD: spinpoint f3

Case: antec 200

Will need answers to the above questions in order to recommend a PSU or GPU.

I apologize I didn't see that sticky I am also new to any specific HTML tagging for url's etc. I already have most of the stuff I need, I have a thermaltake supranors case and a thermaltake 430watt psu. I will be keeping the radeon 4650 for now because I just purchased it for my dell before I swapped cases because the case was a slimline and I feel like if i buy a new gpu it would be putting this one to waste especially because I had to take the brackets off and modify them to make them fit in this standard ATX case.

my budget is as low as possible, I don't mean to be cheap but I dunno if its possible to be able to start a new system then slowly upgrade it for mabey 250-260 for just mobo, cpu and ram. as low as possible, I guess I could get up to 300$ but I would rather put away any extra money I have now for some other finances.

Thank you for your response
