Hi,

Im looking to get a new video card (gforce 280 gtx super-clocked) and it says I need a 550 watt powersupply. I run duel 22 inch monitors and I have a antec 900 case, which has lights. (http://www.antec.com/Believe_it/product.php?id=MjM=)

What i'm wondering is if im running 2 monitors and lights in my case am I going to need a bigger ps. I already have a 550 watt and don't really want to have to upgrade.

You do not need to upgrade the power supply.

The monitors are powered independently of the pc system. The monitors are not plugged into the power supply. They do not receive any power from a psu. Instead, the monitors have their own electrical power cords which are plugged into a surge protector, power strip, or directly into a wall outlet (mains).
