Back to university...

At least in a manner of speaking. One generation after Mazrim graduated
from the university and married the Cow mascot, their son Cairn returned
to the very same dorm where his father used to live. I was kinda curious
as to whether he would have the same dorm mates. Well ... yes and no. When
the taxi arrived, no parents showed up to help him move in. Instead he
stood playing his handheld game until the "movie" finished, and continued
to do so for a while. The game controls did not switch back on after the
movie, neither the interface on the screen nor the keyboard. I could
however observe the students who came and went, and they looked to be the
one that his father had left behind. Eventually I gave up and terminated
the program from windows without having saved.

When I came back to the university neighborhood, Cairn had moved in. But
the other students were all replaced by new ones, or at least the names
were new ... some of the faces and clothes were suspiciously familiar.
(Perhaps there is a limited number of those for some reason, or perhaps
they are the children of the previous students...) The only one I saw
remain was the member of the secret society. But I haven't seen her after
the first semester, so she may have been just visiting.

All the stuff his father had bought was there still. In fact, even his
empty coffee cup still stood on the desk where he left it. ^_^

Of course, I still don't know what happens if the game doesn't crash. I
guess I may find out, next generation...
