Different Disk Benchmark apps from 2 organzations

Screen shots seem to indicate that Estesoft's Disk Benchmark is not the same as ATTO's at TechPowerUp:

Sigh. Yes, I know.

I have a wack of bookmarks for various HDD performance testing apps. I thought it would be just a matter of firing up an app to test my new Seagate Momentus XT (SDD section for frequent-access files, but requiring partition alignment to 4KB sectors). However, various testing apps & parameters seem to assume different things about the disk access pattern. I have this sinking feeling that what was going to be a very straightforward thing is going to be a part-time degree in HDDs.
