Hi all,

I can't afford to spend a lot of money so I am looking to buy the cheapest possible vid card that lets me play WoW at a good resolution on high settings.. keeping 50-60fps even in raids and large scale PvP

any idea what I should go for? I was going for the GTS 250 and a E7400 cpu to match but I'm not sure if that is enough or overkill

any help is appreciated

That is not going to happen. My 4870 can't keep 60 FPS at 1680x1050+full details.

If you're gonna play at low details with 1024x768 or something then even a 9800GT will do :D . Anyway, a GTS250 should be good if you're going for 1680x1050 or lower with medium details. I say though to go with a Radeon 5770 as it's faster and is a DX11 GPU :D . If that's too much for you then go with the 5750 instead.
