Gigabyte MB - Standard or Turbo in BIOS?

Hi,
I was wondering what the difference is between the Standard and Turbo choices for RAM in my BIOS? I'm going to Memtest86 with them both, and if they both pass, should I use Turbo?
Also.. my RAM timings are 9-9-9-24, and I want to change it to 7-7-7-20. I did that, but got errors in Memtest86. Do I need to increase the voltage when tightening the timings, or decrease it? Anything else I need to change?
