Hi All,

For my new build, I am looking into fan controlling, If I were to buy 5 of the following fans:

http://www.fractal-design.com/?view=product&category=4&prod=79

and plug them into this fan controller:

http://www.fractal-design.com/?view=product&category=4&prod=80

A) Would they work and be controlled by the device?
B) Would there be any software I could use in addition to this to control these via my PC software?
C) What kind of noise is 5 x15db fans going to generate for the most part?
D) Would I need any cable adapters to make this work?
E) How is the fan controller powered?

Many thanks in advance,

Jimzoaar.

A= Yes. I can't find the amps of the fans but it's safe to say 36 watts per channel is plenty.
B= No. The fan controller doesn't seem to be meant to work with software.
C= Fan manufactures are notorious for exaggerating fan specs. Especially dB. I wouldn't go by their listing. Only way to really tell true fan noise is through self testing or from other honest reviews.
D= No. The fans appear to be 3 pin and the fan controller appears to have 3 pin headers. The fan controller is listed to be powered by a SATA power connector. So make sure your PSU has one.
E= From site, "SATA power connector". Although from the image provided that power connector on the fan controller does not appear to be SATA. It may come with a cable that goes from the controller to a SATA power connector.
