Video Card Upgrade

I'm currently using the following system:

Q6600(Stock, because my motherboard will not allow OC)
8800GT
4 Gigs(32 bit XP, I know)
Playing at 1680*1050

Will I notice any performance increase from upgrading the 8800GT to a core Geforce 260? I've heard that the Q6600 at stock can bottleneck a single 260. I do get better FPS in most games when I reduce some graphical settings, so I would assume there is room for improvement. If anyone could shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.

Even if you can't OC, GTX 260 will still give you some performance boost.
