I'm having trouble getting my new SSD working as a cache.

I have the latest version of the RST utility, latest raid drivers, both my OS HDD and my new SSD plugged into the Intel SATA ports on the mobo, I have my bios set to raid configuration, and I edited my registry setting to enable raid as I am adding the SSD to my existing W7 install. The problem is, when I open up the Intel RST utility, it shows both my drives as 0gb and all the ports as unknown and am I unable to set them up to cache, the accelerate option doesn't show up at all. Any thoughts as to why this is happening?

It's a 64gb Crucial M4, I've read the mixed reviews but decided I want to try it for myself as I really don't want to reformat right now. When I set it to RAID it gives me the 0gb drive sizes, when I set it to ACHI is gives me the proper drive sizes but still doesn't give me the option to set up caching and I had read in a guide to set to RAID.
