hello all. i'm a bit of a nwb when it comes to pc's and the working's. im looking at buying a new graphic card as my old one as packed in. i was running a asus eax300se/t/32m(s/m5acm381852). i want to upgrade but not sure on what to buy as you can see my system info is below :whistle: not a Qlue what it means just use it for gaming any help on this would be grateful.................mark
ps:looking at buying a 4830 will it work???

ok thanks for that jyjjy. I will stick with the hd4670/512mb as i'v not got the cash for a new one yet edeawillrule but i will be looking to buy a new pc in around 6months . i play a lot of css,dds will this card run ok with steam thank's again.
 
If youa re really getting a new system relatively soon you may want to buy a card appropriate for the new one so you don't end up needing to buy 2 video cards. A more powerful card will actually work in your system it just wont use it's full potential.

does it even have pci-x alot of p4's were agp??
dont get the 4670 if your planning on replacing the paperweight p4 get the best one u can afford i dont like your chances at gettting a new 4830!

I see that this system is from 2005. A quick Google search on the model number turned up nothing. There is a slight possibility that this system has an AGP video slot instead of the PCI-E slot. Better make sure before you buy new card.
