I'm looking to upgrade to a SSD, but my mobo only supports SATA II, so a crucial M4 is a bit pointless. Any ideas on a good SATA II SSD?

Sata III drives are backwards compatible with your SATA II controller so that should not stop you from getting a SATA III drive. http://www.tomshardware.com/review [...] 088-5.html

Granted, but I was hoping I might save some money getting one for SATAII. It would seem that that is not the case.

It is not the case it is like with all new tech production simply changes over to the new interface and all new products will be made for that.
