Its the CPU that has support for Virtualization not the motherboard. All the Core i7 processors support Virtualization.
As long as the Intel CPU supports VT-x it will work.
Intel started supporting VT-x with the Pentium 900 series, Some of the lower end CPU do not support it.
AMD virtualization technology is called AMD-V. With the exceptions of Sempron-branded processors and pre-Rev F Athlon branded processors, all of the desktop processors shipped by AMD include AMD-V.
