GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD4 PCI Express

GIGABYTE GA-P55M-UD4 has 2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 (2@x16 or @x8, x8)
I need the pcie 4x witch will be blocked by the top PCI Express 2.0 slot can i use the bottom one and it work the same with no loss of speed..??? thanks in advance

The PCI (notice no -e listed) isn't the same as the PCI-e x4 slot that your talking about that is in-between the 2 PCI-e x16/x8 slots. I don't think you can use a PCI-e x4 slotted card in a PCI slot, IRRC. What do you need to put into the PCI-e x4 slot??

it is a pci-e x1.. not x4 .. Its not pci it is the small pci-e(black 1.5" long one)..Motherboard man. are dumb they put the thing under the pci-e x16 and these days the vga cooler covers it.. i got a ati theater 550 pro pci-e x1 card.my board has 2 pci-e x16 for (sli or crossfire) can i put the pci-e x1 card in a x16 slot and it work??? thank josh

AFAIK you can do that. I don't think it should be an issue doing that.
