Why cant I unlock 4th core on GIGABYTE GA-MA78LM-S2

Do you have the newest BIOS/have you tried various BIOSes?

in ACC there should be an option like "all" for cores, set it to that

yes I have tried f2 f4 and f6 and nothing.

tried that too, i set it to auto all cores per core and nothing

could it be power supply its only 380w it seems I have to manually shut it off then turn it on when doing a bios flash to reset it to specs so it reboots.

I have the GA-MA78LM-S2H board (my has HDMI output which is the only difference).

For my Phenom II X3 720 BE, I have to do the following under the MB Intelligent Tweaker section:

Enter the Advanced Clock Calibration section

Set EC Firmware Selection to Hybrid

Set Advanced Clock Calibration to Auto

That's how I unlocked my 4th core for me.

i have the ma78lm-s2h as well, and i happen to have a phenom II x2 545, and when i try to go to ACC, and set Ec firmware to hybrid and Acc to auto, the system gives the changing ecc firmware message, and when it reboots, my monitor shows nothing! I have had to reset the cmos manually, and really want some help unlocking my cores?

Also, I have a 350 watt psu, some cheap brand that came with my case. Do i need a better psu?

Not every chip can be unlocked. You may have a chip where the two cores really are bad.

oh, ic... is there a way to at least try to unlock either one of the disabled cores?? I see in the acc options there is a per core thing, but have no idea how to use it? Is it possible to just unlock one of the 2 disabled cores to make it a triple?

Sorry for the late, late, late reply... It was a bad power supply, I had an old pentium 4 sitting around and took the power supply from it and wallah 4 cores a b50.
