Asus Socket 1366 RAMPAGE III EXTREME What memory should i get?(Urgent)

I am buying tomorow Asus Socket 1366 RAMPAGE III EXTREME what memory should i get for thisCPU that im gona use is Intel Core i7 980X Extreme Edition 3.33 GHz
was thinking to get Corsair DDR3 PC-16000 2000MHz 3GB CL8 (8-8-8-24)(KIT OF 3 - 2GB) DHX
( 3x240 DIMM, Unbuffered, 8-8-8-24, Dominator GT with DHX+ and Airflow II Fan, Supports Intel Core i7 )

tho with less money i can get
Corsair DDR3 PC-12800 1600MHz 12GB CL9 (8-8-8-24)(KIT OF 6 - 2GB) Dominator DHX
, 6x240 DIMM, Unbuffered, Supports Intel Core i7 Extreme Edition

Please help to deside.

  1. Your CPU will be o/c or not ?

    If yes : PC16000
    If no : PC12800

    Corsair Dominator GT DDR3 PC16000 will be perfect for your I7 980X. 6GB it's enough but that will depend how will you use your next computer ? (for gaming, encoding etc...)

    And i def gona over clock cpu
    PC is mainly used for gaming, waching modies, listening music and also time to time i wana improve my videoediting skils.And i always can get more ram if needed.
  3. OK, If you gonna o/c your CPU : Corsair Dominator GT PC16000 I think it's the best memory kit of the market. Built for o/c and performance but just a little bit expansive. Yes you'll be able to get more ram if needed. 6 GB is really sufficient.
  4. I´d go with 12 GB you´ve listed -- they are 1600MHz, and have low latency.

    I have myself a kit like that -- it work great! You won´t have any problems overclocking with them! :)
  5. Before my current rig I had the Asus Rampage 111 Extreme and the i78-980x. The ram I used with it is 12gb of the Corsair Dominator 8-8-8-24 1600mhz and yes the CPU was overclocked to 4.3ghz.
