Hard Disk Upgrade for Dell Inspiron 1525

Hello,

Can someone please suggest what is the maximum HDD size I can upgrade for Dell Inspiron 1525.

Originally 160 GB SATA@5400 RPM

I want to urgrade it to
750 GB SATA II@7200 RPM.

That should work fine it is not the laptop but windows that has the limitation currently 2TB for the ntfs file system if windows allows. Just make sure that the drive is compatible with your laptop controller if it is SATA 150.

You are right. I enquired with Dell and they advised it is fine... I upgraded to the mentioned HDD

750GB SATA II @7200 RPM. Its working beautifully.
