I recently purchased a Linksys WRT610N wireless router and connected a usb drive to it and setup a media server.

When I acess the server and view divx movies wirelessly over my Ps3, I've getting "a dlna protocol error 2104 has occurred" error. The movie stops playing and I need to restart the connection.

Anyone come across a solution to this problem? I'm thinking of returning the router for a Netgear Rangemax WNDR3700 Dual Band Wireless-N.... anyone have a better experience with this?

Thank you!

Well I believe I have activated both the router firewall and the windows xp firewall. How would I go about determining what port the usb hd is using?

Thanks eibgrad! btw, did you have a chance to look my other post regarding the msde/ sharing connections through the outlets in apt? I've posted some pictures for you.

cheers!

It depends on the media server. It's the one that requires and opens the port(s). And that port can vary according to the specific media server you're using.

I Fixed my DLNA error 2104 by switching my b/g/n router to run in only g.
