AMD equivalent to Intel i5-661 for low wattage build

Solution
Problem is that the One you are looking at is a 32nm based part and AMD has nothing equivalent to that.

In fact I think the only thing that gives the same performance is a Athlon II X4 but that uses more power than the Core i3 661.

yeah but on stock voltage my PhII can reach 3.8 ghz, which means it doesn't need all that voltage. Thats why i under volt mine. The 620 can probably be undervolted further though since it has a lower clock.

I sitill doubt your X4 Pheom II will use less power than a dual core Core i5 thats on 32nm and a second gen HK/MG.

Its not about what company gets what money, its about getting the person what they are looking for. If he wants Core i5 661 performance and power usage specs, AMD has nothing equivalent to that at this point.

When they do, it will be a different story.
