Logitech mx518 gaming mouse making high-pitched noise?

The mx518 mouse I got from newegg (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104178&Tpk=mx518) made a high-pitched humming sound, though I had it for too long and they refused to return it. So I got ahold of logitech and had them send me a new one, and it made the same high-pitched hum, though it's not quite as loud, it's still very annoying. Is the model itself dysfunctional, is the problem being caused by something other than just the mouse, or am I just unlucky?

It's very possible that the USB power has a squealing capacitor or a bad choke. Try plugging it into a different USB port.

I tried every port, still makes the same noise. This is also the only mouse I've ever had that has done this. Just tried with my other mice, they're perfectly fine, no noise at all.

You've got good ears.
After reading your post I picked mine up and held it to my ear, it does make a high pitched hum.
Can't hear it when it's on the desktop though.
