Installing a case fan without screws

Unfortunately, the case fan I bought didn't come with screws (don't ask.)

I notice that most people use bolts+ washers or special screws, which I don't have. Is there any way to improvise?

I have thought about:

Tape
Glue
Toothpicks
STICKY TAC

Any other ideas?

Twist ties or wires I have used in the past. Another option is to take two screws out of a preinstalled case fan (it will still have 2 and be stable) and use to install your new fan.

Take one case fan screw to your local hardware store or hobby shop. I buy mine at my Local Ace Hardware store. They are very very inexpensive - just a few pennies each.

When I saw the title of your thread I was expecting to see a question about the rubber fasteners used to reduce fan vibration.

That's what came into my mind.

I had the same problem as you have.

I used Electric tape :)
Works fine.

If you want, I can provide some pics...
