Buying a graphic card and a motherboard from different manufacturers?

Is it okay? Will it lower my performance?

In my case:

ASUS P7P55D-E & EVGA GTX 460 1GB

And also how good are EVGA motherboards? Would it be better if I get a EVGA motherboard with this graphic card? Do you have any recommendations?

I am looking for a motherboard that supports: LGA 1156 - USB3 - SATA 6Gb , with a maximum price range of $150, But if it was really super I could go up to $200.

Thanks in advance
