MS Office Enterprise 2007 keeps Configuring in 64-bit Windows 7 Professional

Each time I launch an MS Office Enterprise 2007 application (such as Word or Excel) MS Office "Configures" itself for 2-3 minutes before allowing the app to open. In a possibly related issue, MS Outlook refuses to allow me to set-up ANY e-mail accounts. I am running a 64-bit version of Windows 7, and have run ALL Updates for Windows, and ran the Service Pack 2 for MS Office 2007.

  1. Hi rob-dog, cannot say anything other than have you tried a uninstall re-install of office?

    I only suggest this as a similar thing happened with a 2003 version of office i once installed and even though the installation went without any apparent hiccups, the same, or similar, problem reared its ugly head.
