Pretty much self explanatory.
I have AM2 4200 Processor that according to Smart Guardian is running at 32 celsius.
System temp is showing at 30 celsius.
However - the chipset temp is showing at 57 celsius which has me worried.

The mobo is DFI INfinity Ultra II - M2.

I have a Raidmax Smilodon case that came in with quite a few fans on there and I feel that the cooling is adequate.

Is this normal? And if not - how do I fix it?

Eh, I don't think it is a problem. Usually the chipset runs fairly warm, at least in comparison to the CPU. You can lower it a bit by making sure your computer isn't dusty, i.e. dust clogging up ports and all fans are running near the chipset and throughout the computer for good air flow.

Talked to DFI support, here's what they tell me:

"NF Ultra II M2 is an older board. Perhaps the heat sink compound at the chipset has
dried out and not transferring heat like it did before the compound quit
transferring heat due to drying out. Other than that thought, from this distance the
variables are just too many to come to an exact answer to your question about heat
at the chipset. "

So to me that sounds - your board is out of warranty, please don't bother me, or maybe I am reading it wrong :)

I'll see if there is a fan on the chipset that I can reseat and put in some thermal paste.
