Haing just started my firsat build the difficulty in location components was surprising, I could not seem to find any one supplier that was reasonable across the range.

Is there any UK supplier other than Amazon & Ebay that is reasonable, reliable, and safe to deal with.

Any suggestions appreciated.

I'm not in the UK, but I've seen lots of links to Overclockers and Ebuyer.

There was a thread somewhere (either in this section or under "Hot deals") that had a huge list of e-retailers by country. Look around for it.
