GTS 250 dual monitor display problem

I have a 19 inch and a 23 inch both LG running off my evga gts 250. I noticed that when I have only one display active. My GPU temp is about 41-42c but as soon as I add a secondary monitor it goes up to 60c, I also tried having both displays and playing a game on one and my gpu temp shot up to 76c. Is this normal for a 2nd monitor to cause such a dramatic increase in temp?

You have the card processing two different pictures one for each monitor. So it is working harder which means more heat. According to nvidia the max temp for your GPU is 105C
