Season's greetings everyone!

I'd like to know if it is possible to show the first page of each pdf file as icons (inside explorer in Win7). I am NOT referring to the Preview Pane. Yes I can preview the contents of pdf files in the preview pane, and it is one of the best things I found Windows 7 over XP. But it would be even better to see their first pages as icons.

I've searched the net, and have tried Optimizing the folders for 'Documents' (or even 'Pictures'). But it doesn't work.

Thanks for reading this. Your reply will be greatly appreciated.

You're very welcome!

You're probably using the default preview handler from adobe. You may want to try the Foxit PDF Preview Handler (Google for it and it's easy to find, get the one for Windows 7). It has extra functions like zoom and text search (as if you're using a full-blown reader). It's free and you can uninstall it anytime.

Have fun!

Thanks for the info. I've tried Ubuntu a few months ago and opted it out. Now I'm seriously reconsidering it!
