More about advice needed 1800 gaming
  1. I have two core i7 systems and im here to tell you that you could invest more into graphics less into mobo and cpu and have a better rig. Right now at newegg i have in my cart a mean beast for 1784. (no monitor tho).
That system would own my dual gtx260 core i7 build
  2. You could take out one of the 5870 to get ur monitor and hard drive, but id keep the 1200w psu so that u can crossfire later
  3. The Zalman 9900 cooler is outdated. New core contact tower coolers are better and cheaper. Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus, Xigmatek Dark knight, Sunbeam core contact freezer, Scythe Mugen 2, even Zalman's new CPNS10X (a core contact tower) would be better choices.

Try to find Cas7 or 8 for about the same price as that Cas9 you linked.

The Caviar black 1TB is a 3x~333GB platter drive. The Samsung F3 1TB has two 500GB platters and is much faster.

The 900 is a great case. Consider putting your DVD burner (any $30 SATA burner will work) at the bottom and sliding your extra power cables underneath it. Then you can move one of the drive bays up a bit higher to run air from the front straight over your RAM to the CPU.
  4. oh and one more thing if you only get one 5870 which is all you need for now, id get a better monitor check out
I have one and i love it, i want three for eyefinity!
  5. Ok I replaced the HDD with a 500GB Samsung F3 because I decided I'm just doing overkill with the 1TB. I also used the Dark knight cpu cooler. With the savings and some of my own cash I with with the 5870 GPU.

I think that might be my final build. Any more suggestions anyone?
