  1. The AMD Athlon requires a socket A MB which is basicallly old, out of production technology, so new MB's are rarely if ever available anywhere. Ebay may have some Socket 462 (socket A) boards for sale. The best advice to you is buy a new system with new technology.

IIRC the 3200+ was also released as a socket 754 and a socket 939 chip but same goes for whichever versions - they are all pretty much EOL (end of life) so best bet is to replace the CPU + MOBO and most likely RAM to something newer
  3. The 754 and 939 are designated as AMD 64s aren't they. The Athlon 3200+ is specifically a Socket 462 unit. I have one running curently. Also have a AMD 64 3200 socket 754 running.

They are listed as AMD Athlon 64, so wasn't sure if the OP meant one of them or not ! (I also have a working socket 754 3200+ that was retired when I upgraded back in January to a PII X3 720 !
  5. Currently running and use most every day:

    AMD Athlon 3200+ Socket A
    AMD 64 3200 Socket 754
    AMD 64 3400 Socket 754 (two)
    AMD 64 4000+ Socket 939
    AMD 64 FX55 Socket 939
    AMD 64 4800X2 socket 939
