Should i build a new system of just upgrade my graphics.

hey everyone
well its been a while since i was last here, so i am kinda out of the loop..i have been thinking about doing a new build but after looking around(a little) i am not sure if its worth it. what do you guys/girls think? here is my current system;

MOTHERBOARD: Asus P5Q-PRO P45

PSU: PC Power & Cooling S61EPS 610W

CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz (overclocked to 3.24GHz)

CPU COOLER: XIGMATEK HDT-S1283 120mm Rifle

RAM: CORSAIR XMS2 DHX 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

GRAPHICS: ASUS Radeon HD 4850 512MB

HDD: WD Caviar SE16 WD6400AAKS 640GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s.

CD/DVD drive: SAMSUNG 20X DVD±R DVD Burner/Writer with LightScribe SATA

WHY do you think you need to upgrade? What do you plan to do?

dont really need one. i built my current rig about a 1.5 yrs ago. i think i may just upgrade my HD to something i will use on the next build.

If there are some games you cant play at max settings and want to then a graphics card update is about the only thing I could see that would do you much good.

I don't think you're going to get a hell of a lot of improvement unless you upgraded both the CPU and GPU ... but both are still decent enough that it's probably not worth it just now.

thanks, i think i will just hold off. get the HD and perhaps a sound card. no issue with games. i was thinking of a complete rebuild but still i think your right, will not get enough out of it right now. maybe around the end of this summer. anyway thanks again........
