How to create Raid1 configuration

Sir,
My mother board is ASUS K8V-MX-UAYKZ and OS Windows-XP professional.
I have 2 SATA hard discs installed. They are 1) Sea gate ST3160215AS (160GB) 2) Hitachi Desk StarHDS728080PLA380 (80GB).
My first problem is the disks are not detected by ASUS Bios.
Second I want to configure the disc in Raid1 as the discs are dissimilar in capacity.
