HI, I'm planning to do an upgrade for my laptop in about two years to a core 2 quad 9000. I would like to know whether this mode will still be in stock by then.

If you can't get it now, you probably won't be able to get it then unless you find it on Ebay or Craigslist or something like that. Intel has moved forward to the Core iX series now.

You probably wont even find that CPU now new. Only a few Core 2 CPUs are still being manufactured and I would say by the end of the year they will stop makeing them all together.

Now also upgrading a laptops CPU dosent work about 75% of the times. Laptops weren't designed to be upgraded really besides adding more ram and switching out a hard drive you are pretty much stuck with what you got.
