Short Date Display - English Version

Why cannot the short date display be shown in English!
The short date is shown as Month/Date/Year - in English
it should be Date/Month/Year.
Is there a way round this?

Odd - mine shows as DD/MM/YY

Hi

Under Control Panel/Regional and Language Options:

If country listed there is not correct, change country.

If country listed there is correct, select the "Customize..."
button, and then the Date tab. Do your changes there.
