Hello, I am currently trying to OC my CPU and possibly my ram to increase performance for gaming. My computer is about 5 years old now and is really showing it's age as it can just barely run BF3 smoothly. I am in the process of buying a bare bones kit with a new CPU, motherboard, ram, etc. so I am not worried about the risks of shortening the lifetime of my CPU as I will likely never use it again except as a back up PC only for browsing.
The model I am trying to OC is a HP Pavilion m7750n. The entire unit is factory stock except for a Sapphire 6670 Radeon HD and a 650 watt PSU. I would like to increase my performance mainly on my CPU and ram possibly but at the same type as safely as possible. i.e. how far I should go and stress testing programs for instability.
