I have MW2 installed on my parents laptop when I am over there on some weekends. It has a mobile 4650 and it runs ok with lowered settings. Just turn off AA and shadows, Textrures on Auto, turn on Vsync. Start there. What res are you at?

If you played the last 2 COD games it will have the same settings.

I would be playing on a 1080p screen ?Would it help to upgrade the processor or is the graphic card what needs to be upgraded?

It might have a fun time trying to play at 1920x1080. You will have to turn down most settings.

Your CPU is perfectly fine, it is your graphics that are lacking. The 4650 is really more of just a multimedia card and standard graphics. It is not really intended for gaming, but can do so ok at lower resolutions.

you should be able to play the game with it. if you play at low resolution you maybe able to push the setting ranging from medium to high

jumping from 4650 to 4850 is a big performance difference.

I was thinking about going with the i5 but maybe I can stay with the original processor save the $100.00 and use it to upgrade to the 4850.Then again what about the ps3 option wouldnt that be better?

i think that you processor is quite good to handle any games already. if you want more performance just OC the CPU. if you want to play games at ease you better spend you money on better graphic card like 4850 instead of 4650.

about the console.the very advantage of having console is you will never have to upgrade to new hardware when new games coming out.

Is this a prebuilt system form Dell or another company? I ask because it sounds like you have limited options. And YES a 4850 is a big jump from a 4650.

I appreciate all your help it seems like the easiest thing to do is Not get the blu ray add on and purchase a ps3 to play on the monitor. At least that way theres not much strain on my pc.I wish I could decide on a monitor the one I liked had bad reviews on cnet.com which was the HP2009m http://www.shopping.hp.com/product/display/display/1/st...

I just ordered the same card form newegg my prosscessor is intel core 2 duo 2.2ghz 2gb of ddr2 ram and the game runs flawless at med resolution you can overclock it and add x2 AA but otherwise its a good investment. Its close if not the same as xbox 360 version. I dunno know about the HD 4850 but this card osts m :)  e 60 bucks with free shipping and it runs with my 300w power supply.
