XP shuts down

After booting OK if system is cold it all woorks wll; but at some point it shuts down. Then I re-boot all is well for a few minutes then it shuts down. This has happened several times. Don't know why? Does anybody have this problem. I think the continuous Windows automatic updates are the problem??

    Over heating most likely.
  2. How can I cool it further? The only fan is a very quiet one on the chip. I have three hard drives 2; 250Gig one as C: and a third 20Gig. The three are spaced for better circulation with an empty space between them. Speccy diagnosys says under 50 degrees OK all three. My readings up to 45 degrees. XP still shuts down.
