Ga-x58a-ud3r intel i7 phase in red

out of the box - no additional overclock alterations in place - the Gigabyte ga-x58a-ud3 and intel i7 930 do not work together on my system. They appear to start up in bios mode but the computer shuts down. The intervals of uptime decrease until the computer will not restart. If I wait 20 minutes, the process repeats itself. What is the ideal, safest, setting for the bios?

  1. Clear CMOS by pulling power cord, removing battery, pressing "Power" switch a couple of times, and waiting a few minutes. If "They appear to start up in BIOS mode" means you can get into BIOS, select the option "Load Failsafe Defaults" and save.
