Hello everyone,
I have build a new desktop system with following hardware: Athlon phenom X2 550 3.1ghz
2GB RAM DDR 2 800 mhz
500 GB Harddisk 7200 rpm
GA-MA 78 GM US2H gigabyte motherboard.
I have installed window vista 32 bit on it.
ATI hybrid crossfire enable with HD 3200 and HD 3450 graphic cards.
I can play dirt 2 and counter strike on it presently.
Please tell me how I can further improve gaming performance of this PC. DVs

I think the single most important thing you can do to that setup is look towards a new GPU. From what I read, the 5 series are very well rounded dx11 cards. 2 more matching sticks of DDR2 would probably help your case as well. That Phenom II x2 is a solid chip, I personally own one, and it's quite capable.

I'd look toward either a 5770 or a 58xx, depending on your PSU and budget restraints.

The last one is a 5870. I personally see absolutely no need for that much GPU, but it can be argued the opposite as well. What are you looking to play, and at what resolution? My 9800GTX and PII x2 handles both Dirt 2 and all source games very, very well.

Dear friend,
thanks for reply
My main worry is whether my MB which is GA-MA 78 GM US2H gigabyte can handle 5000 series graphic card.
And second I am having window vista 32 bit OS. It can handle upto 4GB of RAM as studies says. And My two graphics card already have combined 1 GB of RAM.
So please tell me what to buy to improve system.

Your mainboard can support a 5 series, it has a PCIe 2.0x16 slot. The only thing stopping you from a 5 series is your PSU. If you can tell us the model number or take a picture of the side decal on it, we can give you better advice. As far as RAM goes, with Vista 32bit, you have a max of ~3.5GB, so you'll be wasting ~1/2GB, but that extra 1.5 should go a good ways for you.

My PSU is 450 watt. Cabinet has two fans one in side and one in the back.
Ok, thank ones again for answer. I will raise RAM of my computer to 2 GB more.
But with PSU 450 Watt, which graphic card should I install.
